    About the Site

    Cliff Rushing, 22, McLean, VA

I am absolutely, horribly, and utterly obsessed with, and addicted to, pro wrestling. This blog serves as a place for me to share some insights into the world of wrestling as I see it because, let's face it, I can't share them with a majority of the outside world. I will review the latest happenings in WWE, and TNA on some occasions.

I will also be sharing a decent amount of personal stories and the benign minutia that is my life. I have few creative outlets, and this is really all I have.

So, in short, I hope to share my love of wrestling and whatever else with anyone else who happen to be as hopeless as I am.

You can contact me at vertizontal@gmail.com for questions, complaints, suggestions, etc.

Anonymous asked: Eugene will probably go back to his old role and being a trainner helping out at a developmental level. He did that before he jobbed to Calgary Kid.

I have no issue with him being a trainer or road agent. Any role that doesn’t involve him being on my TV is fine with me.

Anonymous asked: Eugene and Orton are friends. Randy got him to come back and fight the calgary kid, but he wasn't in shape, like they hoped, so they fired him again.
Maybe he got back in shape (was he ever?) and Orton pulled some strings for him again.

He wasn’t in shape, really. Don’t have to be if your gimmick is that you’re mentally handicapped.

For those keeping score, H2Orton got Kennedy fired, and Eugene hired a 3rd time (apparently).

Anonymous asked: Did you know that Eugene signed a contract with the WWE again ?

No way. Again? Seriously? No one wants to fucking see that. I was hoping when he jobbed to Calgary Kid during that one random Raw that that was it for good. I fucking hate Eugene.

The following is an excerpt from an article on Kane from the Baltimore Sun:

[Glenn “Kane”] Jacobs, one of WWE’s longest-tenured performers, says he has thought about one day following in the footsteps of former pro wrestler Jesse Ventura and entering the political arena. For now, he’s in no hurry to leave the ring.

“I’m still having fun,” said Jacobs, 43. “I’m really at the height of my career, and I don’t have any plans of packing it in, at least not in the near future.”

Jacobs has been enjoying a career revival of late. He had spent the past several years in WWE in more of a supporting role, but the on-again, off-again feud between Kane and his “brother,” The Undertaker, has heated up again and thrust Jacobs back into main events.

I’d be interested to see where they took Kong’s character if she joined WWE. Hopefully a badass heel and not a Santino ‘Mismatched love interest’ or victim of the Bella switcheroo…

It would be interesting to see. Part of me thinks they’d bring her in to dominate. The other part of me knows that she’d get buried due to the TNA stigma.

Vickie can’t wrestle, but I approve of her inclusion ‘cause she gets heat like fire. And why no Maryse? Maryse = Ratings.

I don’t mind it since she has mentored other champions in the past like Edge and Dolph. Maryse is busy pretending to suck face with Ted, I guess.

if the Pros weren’t so laughable the whole concept might work, but Alicia Fox and Kelly Squared? You gotta be fucking kidding me.

Let us not forget to mock the inclusion of the Bellas. It’s obvious that they assigned pros to the show who have nothing better to do, save for Vickie.

maybe they think that bitchy girl drama = ratings

Perhaps. In their defense, it would be difficult to pull in lower ratings than they were getting.

Know who would have brought in ratings? Kong. Imagine her getting trained by sweet little Kelly Kelly. Imagine her destroying sweet little Kelly Kelly. Now that would have been worth watching.

how is this going to improve ratings? I might quit watching. (not that they count torrents anyway)

People tuning in hoping for wardrobe malfunctions? I don’t know. There is nothing they can do to improve ratings short of giving them pros that people want to say. If you paired them with top 6 draws: Cena, Rey, Taker, Punk, Edge, and Jericho, then you might get people to watch. Would this happen? No. Is this a good idea? Hell no.
